First Impression: Plated Food Delivery Subscription

I got my first Plated box yesterday and I couldn’t wait to dig in!

First, what the heck is Plated? I hadn’t heard of it before, either. But, I got sent a promo for two free meals and couldn’t resist trying it.

Basically it’s a box of fresh groceries that is delivered to your door based on a pre-determined delivery schedule and serving size. The ingredients themselves are fresh, antibiotic/hormone free meats, sustainable sea food, and local whenever possible. The recipes are designed by actual chefs. Literally, all you need is to pick your delivery schedule, specify the number of servings you need, decide your menu, and very, very basic cooking skills…they do the rest.

1st impression: Campbell’s Skillet Sauces

There is honestly nothing more satisfying than a home-cooked meal after a long day. More often than not, though, it’s the last thing I feel like doing. More work after work…no thanks. But, the last time I was in the food store, I came across something promising an awesome, quick, and easy week-night meal. Too good to be true?

It’s (finally) moving week!

I signed the lease on this apartment almost two months ago! It’s new construction and the unit I wanted (I had to live on the top floor!) won’t be available until Friday. As soon as I signed the lease, I got really excited and starting pinning ideas for every room in the unit right away. And, now I’m finally able to start ordering and buying some of the things I picked out what seems a lifetime ago.

You may remember, I had a moving sale last weekend to make room for all my goodies. I made $1300 that day and it’s been burning a hole in my purse ever since!

I’ve chosen this Wayfair headboard, a slim frame TV, a DIY media console/shelf (more on that in another post to come), some storage items for my sewing area, one of these Pier 1 C-tables, and possibly this sleeper sectional sofa and floor mirror

I’m still deciding on barstools, a coffee table/ottoman, underbed storage, nightstands, mattress, and bathroom storage.

Since I sold all my sautee pans, my bedding, my curtains, and all my bathroom decor at my sale, I’ll be having a big ole time at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Target, Kirklands, Tuesday Morning, and HomeGoods replacing all of it.

Stay tuned for an apartment tour and an update after it’s all furnished!
