Before Tuesday night at about 10pm, I had never even heard of Erin Condren or her Life Planners. By 11:15, I was filling out billing and shipping information. Here’s why I fell so hard so quick.
But, be warned, you could be dropping a ton of cash on a planner very, very soon.
So, call me crazy, but I still like to keep a hand-written calendar. I have tried every app and every device but I can’t get away from writing it all down. It’s almost as if using technology to do it is too simple and doesn’t help me keep those commitments. I know. I AM crazy.
But, I know I’m not the only crazy one because the cult following behind Erin Condren and her life-changing life planners is growing by the second. She’s apparently selling 50 new planners to new customers each and every day. It might not sound like a lot, but once you see the TLC, ATD (attention to detail), and OMG that goes into this planner, you’ll see exactly why this a big of a deal as it is.
Let’s dig in…
You might have noticed from the cover photo that each of the planners are personalized to your name. I’m not talking some generic font in a basic black either. I’m talking fun, creative designs specifically picked for the look of you planner. Want more personalization? Keep reading…there’s a ton more. But on the cover, you can also add a picture to the back of your planner if you want.
There are 45 designs to choose from including the ultimate personalization with your own photos, quirky bow ties, bright stripes, girly paisley, and even clean, masculine designs for the OCD guys out there.
The custom cover personalization and wide range of designs is great, but it’s not even the best of it.
The hardest part about finding the perfect planner is how it’s all laid out inside. And with this Life Planner, it’s like she got into my head and spoke with my inner organizer to come up with the perfect layouts. Actually, word on the street is she highly values customer feedback and actually uses it to improve the designs each and every year.
The weekly spreads start on a Monday (not Sunday). They cover two whole pages which lay flat with the metal ring binder. They have a column for goals and to-dos. And, my favorite…each day is broken into Morning, Day, and Night categories for even more organization. I hate the planners that have no times because I never know where to write anything and I hate the ones that have every hour because I feel like I’m married to that time slot and get discouraged when I don’t meet that estimation. So, morning/day/night is just brills for my life.
To ensure your planner is nothing like anyone else and is just perfect for your life, you can customize even further. Upload pictures that are printed on pictures to help denote birthdays and every special day for every special person in your life. (**ps: sneak peak and downloads of the clipart I used to come!)
You can also have labels printed with whatever you want as well. You get a sheet with 60 labels and can change the color of the columns and write in your own text for each field (or fill in an entire column with the same text) to help tailor this planner to your life. Mine said things like “meeting,” “massage,” “acupuncture,” and other things that I find myself doing throughout the year. The planner comes with some generic ones, too, FYI. What’s the point of having event stickers that say “practice” if you don’t play a team sport?
You can add on all sorts of accessories like a band to keep it all closed, a stick-on pen holder, and colorful pens. I didn’t purchase any of those, btw.
There’s seriously so many great things you can do to make this planner all your own. I love that the “generic” parts are exactly how I would have done it anyway and that I can customize the rest.
It will take a few weeks for my planner to arrive. I also requested a special customization…more on that in another post…so it could take even longer.
I tweeted @erincondren about how excited I was to make my purchase and she replied, “yay – the wait is always the hardest part, but promise you’ll love it when you get it! enjoy!” Love it.
So, if you, like me, know what you love when you see it and are ready to make your Erin Condren Life Planner purchase, use this link to get $10 off your purchase. And, when these babies cost at least $50 to start…$10 off is a great deal!
