A tutorial that works!

Standard

There is nothing worse than finding a tutorial where all the photos looks totally cute then trying to make it yourself only finding that the instructions totally suck and it’s impossible to finish. I won’t name names, but you know you’ve been there.

So, when I found this seemingly complicated iPad cover/stand from Chica and Jo, I was a little worried. But, the instructions seemed pretty straight-forward and it requires such little fabric that I decided to give it a whirl. And, what do you know it’s turned out to be one of my favorite projects.

I’ve had my cover on my iPad ever since I made it and use the stand all the time. It’s held up over time and I get so many compliments when I pull it out in public.

As an aside, I did not use the colorful elastic on mine. Instead, I made little fabric corners. It makes it a little bit difficult to get the iPad in and out and you have to search around to find the volume and power buttons. But, it’s so much cuter and therefore, worth all that hassle for me.

So many people will be getting new iPad’s for the holidays, so I urge you to keep this little tute in mind. It’s totally cute and works perfectly!

PS: there’s a tutorial for a Kindle, too!
